This process is no longer possible because the film is no longer being made. There are other instant films, but they do not provide the saturation and contrast of the Polaroid film.
These began as color slides/transparencies. A copy was made onto Polaroid film, then the emulsion was released from the backing (substrate) and transferred to cotton rag paper that was used for these prints.
